What is Medicare Supplement Plan B?

Medigap Plan B is a supplemental insurance policy that provides additional coverage for Medicare beneficiaries. Like Medigap Plan A, it is designed to cover some of the out-of-pocket expenses not covered by Original Medicare, such as deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. One of the key benefits of Medigap Plan B is that it offers a more comprehensive level of coverage than Plan A, including coverage for the Medicare Part A deductible. This means that beneficiaries with Plan B will not have to pay the full cost of this deductible if they require hospitalization.

Medigap Plan B Benefits

Overall, Medigap Plan B offers a higher level of coverage and more financial protection for Medicare beneficiaries than Medigap Plan A, making it a popular choice for those looking to supplement their Original Medicare coverage.

Who qualifies for Medigap Plan B?

When considering a Medigap plan, keep in mind you must be enrolled in Original Medicare Part A and Part B. If you have not enrolled yet, we can help you. The Social Security Administration has implemented an easy online application to sign up for Medicare Part B for those that are ending employer group health coverage.
